‘The best and the richest classroom is roofed only by the sky’- Margaret McMillan

13th September 2021 marked an exciting day of learning for our students from Grades 1 to 8. They visited the Streetsville Pollinator Showcase Garden which is a short walk from our school. There could be no better place to go on a Scavenger Hunt for bugs, or to learn the names of many flowers using Google Lens. Each student carried a magnifying glass to investigate the parts of the flower or to see those miniscule pollen grains and to see those tiny crawling bugs in the soil. They recorded their observations onto their clipboard. There was no wifi in the garden but we sure connected well with others, ourselves and most importantly, with nature itself. We look forward to more such trips in the future.
