Christmas at Guiding Light Academy
Christmas does not begin with the birth of Christ, but rather, it begins at the very beginning. It begins with our creation and the creation of the world.
Christmas happened because of the humility and wisdom of one very special girl. Christmas happened because of her obedience to God and her openness to His will. Christmas happened because Mary said yes.
At Guiding Light the celebration started with the Gala Dinner on December 5th Friday.
The Gala Dinner started with a prayer followed by the Nativity play which was hosted by the students of Guiding Light Academy.
There was also a Christmas concert and an Auction.
It was a pleasant evening spent with friends, family and well-wishers of Lumen Veritatis and Guiding Light Academy.
On December 15th, the students had their Christmas party in school.
Students came dressed in party attire, sang Christmas carols, watched a movie, set up the crib, had a sharing day and also created colourful snowmen on baubles which they used to decorate their Christmas trees at home.
The Christmas in school was adorned with Jesse Tree Ornaments.
It was indeed a season of sharing, caring, spreading love and joy with loved ones.
